After a complaint from the Red Yaguareté (Jaguar Network) and in a swift and well coordinated operation, we confiscated a Jaguar skin that was exhibited at the offices of a company at the center of Salta city.

The operation took place on Wednesday 30 of June, after 24 hours before the Red Yaguareté make the formal complaints with the National  Fauna Direction and UFIMA, this one coordinated with the Ministry of Environment of the province of Salta and the Environmental Protection Division of provincial Police.

This excellent coordination between one NGO, the National and Provincial State, represents an extraordinary advance in efforts to preserve our last Jaguars.

We know that hunting and trade is -also with the destruction of their habitat- one of the principal causes of their decline, therefore, and although we do not like to meet with these situations, we are dealing them with all our strength.

Now the administrative and judicial proceedings will continue, which have to be adjusted and match achievements with audit. When we reach this, every attack against our Yaguaretés will have exemplary sanctions such as we are getting.
