The Red Yaguareté formally requested Chaco and Formosa governors to
protect the property
"La Fidelidad"
April 2011
It was through two notes delivered in late March and early April. La
fidelidad is a huge property of 250,000 hectares, 150,000 located in
Chaco territory and another 100,000 in Formosa.

It is a pristine area without residents
and have all the extraordinary biodiversity of the Argentine Chaco:
jaguar, giant armadillo, tapir, brocket deer, chacoan peccary,
collared peccary, giant anteater, ocelot, etc. This property had been
proposed to be a National Park by the Delegation Nea of National Parks
Administration because of its rich biodiversity, large surface and
strategic location, however, for various reasons the project never
materialized.
Unfortunately, and in an aberrant fact,
its owner was killed in the month of January in a brutal episode. The
Red Yaguareté fears from this, and to be several legal claims of
alleged heirs, these lands are stolen and looted, losing forever its
unmatched value. In fact, internet online sales continues even some
fractions.

The petition, signed by Mr. Nicolás Lodeiro Ocampo and by the
renowned naturalist Juan Carlos Chebez, respectively president and
technical advisor of the Red Yaguareté, noted that "La Fidelidad
should be preserved for future generations and expressed concern about
its present guard, under its owner's death and the dark interests that
surround it".
Save La Fidelidad is save the Gran Chaco and its unique biodiversity,
where stands the Jaguar, seriously threatened with extinction.
